We watched the sunburned skyline Plastered along the city streets Sitting on an iron island in the sky Splitting sandwiches and a box of wine Illuminated by battery powered candles It was the picturesque date Tell me you love me in a whisper Drowned out by the sounds of the city I'll pretend that I understood And tell you, "you look so pretty" We watched the cityscape from the fire escape Taillights flicker and dance like fireflies In their concrete and chrome enclosure You lied and said you were cold to get closer Yet played your secrets close to your chest In the air and exposure Who needs a corner apartment When you've got the stairs with the view? It's getting harder and harder to breathe Up in the altitude with you Pretending to laugh at you pretending to laugh At all of my comical cues Tell me you love me in a whisper Drowned out by the sounds of the city I'll pretend that I understood And tell you that I love you And I want to And you look so pretty

CPR 03:03
If you had something to say, I'd have heard it by now. Your words are white noise; I can only hear the sound of you wanting too much and expecting it too. Your sky blue eyes can't save the way that you lose my attention, my trust, my interest; I think I've had enough. You sung your siren songs to keep me around, but the more I hear the less I like the sound. So I better get myself out of this town before something sincere comes out of your mouth. I heard a blur of you hurting yourself with all these things I've said in a self-made hell. Forget the context, right? Ignorance is a blissful way to fight. Now I swallowing words until I finally choke; your wallowing's so dramatic that it's almost a joke: calling this man stuff until I stand up and front with figurative handcuffs. Something random gets your nerves to a tandem dance; it gets you to go off on the blandest of rants. Condescension coming down from the shoulders of ants. Scared that I might drown in the won'ts and the can'ts. Your love is easy, but your love ain't free. Just take a look at what your love's done to me. You played your games with me before Now I'm your pawn with my pants on the floor. I tell myself, "just one more time" You pull my thread and watch me unwind You spun your web, and now I'm bound.

Talent Show 04:05
Some people tell me to reach high Others tell me to reach low Some people tell me to follow my dreams Others tell me where to go They say roll the dice Someday you'll see But sixes only come so frequently Some people live And hope they will be Others, they live for reality Which way is best? Which way do I go? How do I learn? How do I know? Why do we argue? Why do we fight? Who am I to say what is wrong and what's right? I wanna be happy, but I wanna survive Do I swim across or do I take a dive? To reach the dream, have to go through the strife Do I live the right way or do I live the life? Some people tell me just settle down Find what makes practical sense Some people tell me live life out loud Don't settle for second best Do I be safe? Do I be sorry? Live on the edge But the edge might scar me Judge the risk Judge the reward I live on my own accord But I can't help but feel like I'm made for more I've gotta find something worth fighting for I don't have a choice; time's running out I gotta find what this life is about

We Suck! 02:42
You play the drums and I'll play the bass I know a guy who can kind of sing okay So let's get together and slap down some jams We'll start making history today Or maybe tomorrow I don't got the time today But I've still got time to sit on my phone I know we've got the talent But we don't got the drive We won't make it practicing alone They say making music is pretty tough You gotta learn to put in the time But I'm just too lazy and this plan is crazy So why don't we just get up here and suck?
